What SafeClick Guard checks
- HTTP usage instead of HTTPS.
- Shortened URLs and suspicious keyword patterns.
- IP-based URLs and many-hyphen domains.
- Punycode domains that may hide deceptive characters.
- Login-like pages and password-field signals.
Link safety
SafeClick Guard helps identify suspicious links and phishing-like websites using local URL and page signals before users continue.
When a site appears suspicious or high risk, SafeClick Guard can show a warning page with options to go back, continue, or trust a site.
Users can also open the extension popup and scan a link manually before visiting or trusting it. This is useful for links received in messages, documents, social posts, or unfamiliar websites.
SafeClick Guard is not a replacement for careful browsing, but it helps users notice suspicious signals earlier and make a more informed decision before continuing to a risky page.
SafeClick Guard is a warning tool and does not guarantee complete phishing protection. Users should still be careful with password pages, unknown links, and unexpected downloads.
