Strict and Balanced modes
Strict mode gives stronger protection by checking downloads more often. Balanced mode is more convenient for trusted download sources.
Keep Download or Stop Download
When a download needs attention, SafeClick Guard presents a clear decision flow so users can keep the download only if they trust the source, or stop the download if it looks suspicious.
Cloud reputation checks
URL reputation checks are handled by the SafeClick Guard backend. Reputation provider API keys are not stored inside the extension package.
Why download protection matters
Risky downloads can come from unexpected redirects, browser-local download flows, or pages that start files without clear user intent. SafeClick Guard focuses on the actual Chrome download event so the decision flow is connected to the real download.
Important limitation
SafeClick Guard is not antivirus software. It provides warnings and reputation checks, but users should still be careful with unknown files and websites.
